The deli is nearly invisible despite being just off Powell, it is a small space next to the HoHo Chinese place, so I thought I'd go in for a sandwich. This is a lottery joint (about 10 video lottery games) that happens to also serve microwaved sausages/dogs on a bun, pretty much on a par with 7-eleven. I wouldn't go there expecting anything more than gas stop fare.

Super aggressive staff, situation that could have been handled calmly blew up and ended up being way more dramatic than needed on the restaurant side

This place is very sketchy. The owner or worker was so pushy and paranoid. The whole environment was heavy and not welcoming. Don't go here.

I went to the location on Mc Laughlin. I asked for a smoked sausage and a bratwurst. The smoked sausage came out fine. However, what the little girl called a bratwurst was nowhere near a bratwurst. I think she confused a Louisiana hot for bratwurst and refused to switch it for me claiming it was a bratwurst. I was station in Germany and have NEVER had a bratwurst a) look ref they usually white and b) hot as this one was. IT was disgusting. I will NOT be using this place again.

Talk about sketchy. The guy had to buzz me in just to get in the door. The "decor" is a bunch of video lottery machines. Said machines were piloted by old men who don't seem to mind the fact that the place is pretty bright for a lottery bar. When I asked what sausage the employee recommended, he looked surprised and said, let me see what I have." He looked through a few heating trays and found one that had about 3 sausages that looked like they had been there no less than a day and said, "I got these ones." I left.
If you are into well-lit video poker this is the place. If you are in the neighborhood and want a bite, go to hoho.
